Family planning not part of jobs/stimulus bill

The mind set of the Obama administration included money in the package for reproductive health care, but – surprise! – the GOP opposed it.  from

“One major critic of the proposal was House Minority Leader John Boehner (heh-heh, Boehner) of Ohio, who asked, “How can you spend hundreds of millions of dollars on contraceptives? How does that stimulate the economy?” We think Bonehead, er, Boehner missed a report by the National Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy revealing that teen pregnancy alone costs taxpayers $9.1 billion annually. What’s more, it’s estimated that in three years, the contraception measure would have actually saved $100 million a year by preventing some unwanted pregnancies. it.

N.B.: and unwanted pregnancies might be expanded to  include future GOP supporters.
