Apparently because Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius (D), President Obama’s choice to head the Department of Health and Human Services, vetoed a “late term abortion” law, and hosted a reception in the Gov. Mansion for reproductive choice clinic owner Dr. George Zwiller, some anti-choice groups oppose her nomination. Family Research Council President Tony Perkins, and Patrick Mahoney, executive director of the Christian Defense Coalition, are oppossed to the nomination.
In one word: “Good!” I am thrilled these people and their followers are not backing the candidate. (More than one word).
From the post: “Sebelius has won backing from several pro-abortion rights organizations who point out several steps Sebelius has taken they say have reduced abortions in the state. Catholics United even launched a website — CatholicsForSebelius.org — backing her nomination.”
