In the May/June Humanist, “What’s so conservative about school prayer?”, he asks that if there were mandated, government sponsored school prayers, who would pick the prayers? Who would pick the object(s), subject(s), and words? The GOVERNMENT of course.
Isn’t less government what conservatives’ wish? What about more government choosing whom one might marry, or less government saying let the ‘Free Market’ decide who should marry?
The answer is, of course, freedom of choice is not the issue here: the Establishment Clause is!
